Copper Canopy Aerial

Student Registration & Waiver

Updated 7/31/25

Please complete this form to register as a student at Copper Canopy Aerial at least 48 hours prior to the start of your first scheduled lesson. This form only needs to be submitted once.

First, a little bit about the studio

Thank you for your interest in Copper Canopy Aerial! We are a very small business, with Rhonda serving as both owner and instructor. In fact, the studio is located in a separate building directly behind our home.

Our studio has one rigging point. So for group lessons, this means only one person can be in the air at a time. Fortunately, that allows ample opportunity to take photos and videos of each person's aerial experience. And it's also surprisingly fun to watch your friends take their turns!

You can take take your lesson in either socks or bare feet -- sometimes it can be helpful to have both options. You do not need to bring a mat.

Finally, there is a bathroom available and we are happy to direct you to it! It's just a few steps away in the basement of our home. But don't be shy -- you might even see a cat or two!

Studio Guidelines

Please carefully read these guidelines to help ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

What to wear

To protect your skin, please wear close-fitting clothing that covers your armpits, torso, and backs of your knees.  Socks and layers can be helpful for getting warmed up.

What NOT to wear

For your safety and to prevent snagging, tearing, and strong odor on the fabric, please carefully review the following items that are not allowed:

  • All jewelry, including rings, watches, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings (You may leave your jewelry at home or remove it at the studio.)

  • Clothing with zippers, buttons, or belts

  • Baggy clothing

  • Shorts or crop tops

  • Lotion on hands or feet

  • Heavy fragrance

Also please keep in mind that longer fingernails will make it more difficult to grip the fabric (which is very important to be able to do in aerial!).

What to Bring

We recommend bringing a bottle of water, socks, and a small towel for perspiration.

Where to Go

We are located at 163 Oakville Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.

The studio is in the building behind the house, and you will see a Copper Canopy Aerial sign and a small porch.

Please pull all the way down the driveway and park anywhere at the bottom.

Please do not park on the incline.

**Please note: Because we have limited parking space, please limit the number of vehicles arriving for your lesson to no more than 3.

When to Arrive

Please aim to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the start time of your lesson.

The studio has a driveway, not a parking lot, so we cannot accommodate vehicles that arrive before students from the previous lesson have a chance to leave.

Street parking is not available.

If you arrive late, your lesson will still end at its original ending time.

No need to knock -- just come on in!

Additional Guidelines

  • Students will need to clean their hands and feet prior to getting on the fabric.  We have hand sanitizer and baby wipes available.

  • Always keep your instructor informed of how you're feeling and of any changes that may impact your ability to learn aerial.

  • We do not offer ample seating, so we discourage bringing anyone who will not be actively participating in the lesson.

  • You must contact us at least 48 hours in advance if someone is coming to the lesson who wasn't originally listed in the booking from; otherwise, they will not be allowed to participate.

  • We reserve the right to terminate a lesson at any time if we feel unsafe or uncomfortable with a student's behavior.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that things come up and emergencies happen. To accommodate the needs of our students and to respect the time and compensation of your instructor, we have in place the following policies:

  • You may cancel your lesson up to 24 hours before the lesson start time without penalty by contacting Copper Canopy Aerial via our website, email, or phone.  A cancelled lesson can be rescheduled, but it will not be refunded.

  • Each calendar quarter (January, April, July, October), you may cancel a lesson 1 time with less than 24 hours' notice (a late cancel) without penalty. After your second late cancel in a calendar quarter, you can choose to either (a) pay a $15 rescheduling fee or (b) forfeit the missed lesson. These options will be enforced for each late cancel after your first one until the next calendar quarter.

  • If you need to late cancel, you must contact Copper Canopy Aerial via our website, email, or phone prior to your lesson start time in order to be eligible for a rescheduled lesson.  If you miss your lesson without contacting us prior to your lesson start time (a no-show), you will be unable to reschedule your missed lesson. A no-show will count toward your late cancel total for the calendar quarter.

  • If you arrive to your lesson late, your lesson will still end at its original time. If you are more than 25 minutes late and we have not heard from you, this will be considered a no-show and your instructor will no longer be available for your lesson.

  • If your instructor needs to cancel your lesson with less than 24 hours' notice more than 2 times in a calendar quarter, you will receive a $10 credit to be used toward your next purchase for each late cancel after the first 2 until the next calendar quarter.

  • We do not offer refunds.

Special Notice for Paired & Group Lessons

The policies above also apply to lessons with more than one student, but please note the following distinctions:

  • We will still teach the lesson as long as at least one person who is listed on the booking form attends the lesson. However, please keep in mind that the rate for a lesson is for one hour of instruction. Therefore, if your instructor still teaches the lesson, the student(s) who did not attend will not be eligible for a credit or make-up lesson.

  • We do not necessarily need to be notified if one or more students cannot attend a lesson. To avoid  penalty, we only need to be notified if no one will be attending the lesson. We put this responsibility on the person who booked the lesson (the "booking person"). Therefore, if the lesson is cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice, it can be rescheduled by the booking person. If the lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, the booking person can either (a) pay a $15 rescheduling fee or (b) forfeit the lesson, after their first late cancel of the calendar quarter. No-shows are unable to be rescheduled and count toward the booking person's late cancel total for the calendar quarter.

  • If your instructor has to cancel your lesson with less than 24 hours' notice more than 2 times in a calendar quarter, the booking person will receive a $10 credit to be used toward their next purchase.
